Tangerang, Indonesia-based PT Teknotama Lingkungan Internusa (TLI), an EcoStar Group company, and SSI Shredding Systems, based in Wilsonville, Ore., have teamed up to develop a shredder to reduce the size of post-industrial material that allows the company to convert the material to an alternative fuel.
TLI has completed construction on a new facility in West Java, Indonesia, that converts post-industrial material to alternative fuel. The company contracted SSI Shredding Systems to construct the shredder for its new plant.
SSI Shredding Systems selected its Quad Q85HD shredder for the installation. The hydraulically driven, four-shaft industrial shredder features a 200-horsepower motor with SSI’s high-torque, low-speed technology. The Quad Q85HD shredder is built to handle most types of industrial waste, including metals and nonmetallic, according to SSI.
The system produces an alternative fuel that is used to power industrial cement kilns throughout Indonesia.
TLI is a full-service environmental engineering company with experience in waste management, minimization and recycling.
SSI Shredding Systems designs, manufactures and supports industrial shredders and compaction systems for a wide array of applications.
