SSI Shredding Systems Inc., Wilsonville, Ore., has developed a shredded for use in lower-volume applications.
The “bucket” shredder was originally designed for a customer that needed to shred 5-gallon plastic paint buckets. However, SSI says the shredder is appropriate for paper, product destruction, light electronic media, hard drive and textile applications.
According to SSI, when the shredded is combined with a small conveyor, an integrated ram assist and direct drive motor, it can offer a “robust and value-packed” answer for various small business destruction needs.
