The electronics recycling company Sims Recycling Solutions (SRS) has joined the Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA), an association that implements security standards for logistics pipelines designed to fight against cargo crime.
TAPA members share information to prevent theft, develop supply chain security standards and work with government agencies.
“This association is a great resource in helping Sims stay on top of cargo crime,” says Steve Skurnac, president, SRS Americas, based in Chicago. “Computers and electronics are desired items, which make this a rising concern for electronics recyclers. We hope to raise awareness of this issue to other recyclers in the industry as well.”
