Sims Recycling Solutions (SRS), headquartered in West Chicago, Ill., has joined the National Association for Information Destruction (NAID), Phoenix.
NAID is an international trade association for companies providing information destruction services. NAID’s primary purpose is promoting the information destruction industry and the standards and ethics of its member companies.
Steve Skurnac, president of SRS, says, "Sims is proud to be a member of the NAID organization. Becoming a NAID member will further enhance our data security services for our customers and help us stay up to date on the latest information security measures."
He continues, "Many companies do not realize the potential data risks associated with electronic waste disposal; however, we believe that our NAID membership will give customers the confidence that their electronic waste and the sensitive data it may contain will be managed with industry leading security."
SRS has 49 sites throughout the world, including 13 sites in North America in the states of Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Nevada, New Jersey, South Carolina and Tennessee and the province of Ontario.
