Speira has appointed Johannes Steurer as its new chief financial officer (CFO), assuming responsibility for finance, legal and IT aspects for the Germany-based recycled-content aluminum producer.
Steurer has a strong track record in the aluminum industry that includes being CFO and then CEO at Aluflexpack AG, a Switzerland-based flexible packaging producer.
At Aluflexpack, Steurer set up and ran brand strategy, drove forward value creation, internationalization, sustainability, innovation agenda and cultural change, according to Speira which, earlier this decade, acquired assets that had operated under the Real Alloy name and before that as Aleris.
“His extensive experience in the industry, especially in the business of our customers, and his performance profile in the fields of finance, investor relations, legal and compliance, as well as value creation, make Johannes the ideal CFO to take Speira to the next stages,” Speira CEO Einar Glomnes says.
Prior to his work at Aluflexpack, Steurer worked as an analyst and investment manager at Luxembourg-based Global Equity Partners Group.
