Spectro crafts alliance with German chemicals producer

Spectrograph maker will offer chemicals made by Bernd Kraft.

Germany-based Spectro Analytical Instruments GmbH and Bernd Kraft GmbH, a German maker of laboratory chemicals, have announced a cooperation agreement between the two companies that went into effect Jan. 1, 2018.

As part of the agreement, Spectro customers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland will automatically receive “a starter set of high-quality standard solutions when purchasing a Spectro ICP spectrometer,” according to a news release from Spectro. The Bernd Kraft starter has been designed to help customers “be certain that their analysis devices are optimally adjusted from the start – a prerequisite for correct analysis results. Calibration errors caused by out-of-date or contaminated standard solutions will be eliminated,” Spectro indicates.

“We are delighted to have gained Bernd Kraft GmbH, a high-profile partner who is able to supply our customers with standard solutions of the highest quality,” says Dr. Christoph Mätzig, CEO of Spectro. “With these solutions, our high-end devices can be optimally commissioned on site.”

Remarks Thomas Brunner, CEO of Bernd Kraft, “The cooperation agreement is the logical consequence of the good collaboration between two first-class companies. Our experience has shown that constructive and cooperative teamwork brings success for all parties.”

During 2018, Spectro indicates that “various joint seminars and webinars by Spectro and Bernd Kraft are planned on the subject of ICP-OES (inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectroscopy) analyses. The seminars will outline the complementary range of products and services of both companies in detail along with the benefits for customers.”
