German-based Spectro Analytical Instruments GmbH, a leading analytical instrument producer, has introduced four new products: the Spectro Midex small spot analyzer, the Spectro xSort handheld XRF, the Spectro Genesis and the Smart Analyzer Vision ICP-OES software.
The new Spectro Midex small spot analyzer offers greater analytical flexibility, faster elemental analyses for small spots, line scans and mapping as well as a larger working distance from the sample, according to the company. The Spectro Midex is designed for applications in the electronic, precious metals, precious metals recycling and automobile industries.
Weighing 3.7 pounds, the Spectro xSort handheld XRF spectrometer is designed to deliver rapid and precise non-destructive on site elemental analyses with laboratory-like accuracy, the company says. Originally introduced as a metal analyzer, the Spectro xSort’s scope of applications has been expanded to include RoHS compliance, Pb screening, environmental testing of soils and sludge as well as the analysis of ores, concentrates and tailings.
The new Spectro Genesis is designed to capture the entire elemental wavelength spectrum between 175 and 777 nanometers and is ideal for a range of environmental and industrial elemental analysis applications, according to the press release.
