South Korea to Produce More Than 77 Tons of Steel by 2010

South Korea’s capacity for iron and steel production is estimated to reach more than 77 million tons by 2010, an increase of 18 percent from its current 65.8 million tons, according the Korea Iron and Steel Association.

           

South Korea will invest nearly 7.5 trillion won throughout 2008 to build and upgrade plans, according to a Reuters report, which is a 73.2 percent increase from the previous year’s investment.
