According to published reports, ICE Recycling, a plastics recycling firm, has announced plans to expand from its current operation in Florence County, S.C.
The expansion, to be located in Lake City, S.C., is expected to create 50 jobs, and the investment in the project will total $4.35 million.
“The ICE Recycling announcement for further expansion comes at an opportune time,” says Charles Gould, president of the Florence County Economic Development Partnership. “Undoubtedly, these are trying times for everyone around the country, but exciting things are in the works and happening in Florence County,”
K.G. Smith, Florence County council chairman, says, “The ICE Recycling announcement of expansion and new jobs is yet another example of how Florence County’s economy is strategically positioned for sustainable and long-standing growth. I look forward to many more announcements in our future.”
