Textile recycler Sortworthy has announced its relocation to Northwest Arkansas and plans to invest $3 million in a new recycling facility, according to Talk Business & Politics (TB&P).
“This region was a natural choice for our next chapter, offering a thriving business ecosystem, a commitment to sustainability and an unparalleled sense of community,” the company said in a statement posted to LinkedIn. “We’re eager to be part of this vibrant region—creating jobs, driving innovation and collaborating with local communities to make a lasting impact.”

According to TB&P, the company expects to move locations from Florida to Arkansas early this year. Sortworthy reportedly has not yet chosen a location for its new recycling facility, but says it is looking for a site in the Bentonville area.
A Sortworthy spokesperson told TB&P that the company is considering sites between 60,000 and 90,000 square feet.
Sortworthy’s services include textile shredding, converting used textiles into insulation materials and fiber-to-fiber recycling.
