The paper and packaging company Sonoco Products, based in Hartsville, S.C., has named M. Jack Sanders its next president and CEO His appointment, effective April 1, 2013, will follow the retirement of Harris DeLoach Jr., Sonoco’s current CEO.
Sonoco also named Sanders to the company’s board of directors, effective immediately.
Sanders currently is Sonoco's president and COO. He joined the company in 1988 as national sales and marketing manager for its reels business. Before assuming his current position he served as the executive vice president of the company's global consumer businesses.
