Sonoco-Alcore puts French coreboard mill on the market

Recycled coreboard mill in Alsace has two machines with a total capacity of 95,000 metric tons per year.


Sonoco-Alcore S.a.r.l., a division of U.S.-based Sonoco, has put its Schweighouse-sur-Moder uncoated recycled coreboard mill in Alsace, France, up for sale. The company says it has notified the local works council of this decision.

The Schweighouse facility is one of 20 paper mills that Sonoco operates globally. Established in 1878, the mill has two machines with a total capacity of 95,000 metric tons.


Sonoco Alcore operates 29 tubes and cores plants and five paperboard mills in Europe.
