Patrick J. Moore, chairman and CEO of Smurfit-Stone Container Corp., is featured in two video interviews posted on the Fortune.com Web site.

In the first video segment, entitled “Recycling Success Story,” Moore discusses the company’s recycling operations; the industry’s aggressive paper recovery target; and tree re-planting efforts that have created stable and sustainable forests and the positive impact those efforts have made over the past 50 years to benefit the environment and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
In the second clip, entitled “Inside the Box Industry,” Moore talks about the state of the global containerboard market, the growth of the packaging market in China, and the impact of e-commerce on the packaging business.
Smurfit-Stone Container Corp., based in Chicago and Creve Coeur, Mo., is a leading integrated containerboard and corrugated packaging producer and one of the world’s largest paper recyclers.
The company is a member of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, the Sustainable Forestry Initiative, the American Forest & Paper Association and the Chicago Climate Exchange.
The vice president and general manager of the company’s recycling division, Michael Oswald, has been scheduled to speak at the Paper Recycling Conference, organized by the Recycling Today Media Group and taking place in Chicago June 22-24, 2008.
