Smurfit Kappa Recycling, based in Dublin, has appointed Matthew Berrill its operations director with overall operational responsibility for the company’s paper and board recycling collection business. Berrill will oversee the production, logistical, environmental, quality, health and safety aspects of all seven of Smurfit Kappa’s recycling depots between Glasgow and Kent.
Berrill has worked in Smurfit Kappa Group’s packaging and containers business for more than 20 years.

Smurfit Kappa operates a number of mills in the United Kingdom and recycles around 500,000 metric tons of recovered fiber per year. In addition to operations in the U.K., Smurfit Kappa operates in 30 countries, including 21 in Europe and nine in Latin America.
