Scrap Metal Services LLC, Burnham, Ill., has named Larry Coe as president of its SMS Mill Services division.
“Larry is an experienced executive with a long history of extensive mill operations and steelmaking knowledge who will add value to our customers,” says Jeffry Gertler, CEO of SMS. “We are delighted to have Larry continue to build on our vision of integrity and superior customer service.”
Coe will be responsible for activities related to the Mills Services division, including management, business development and integration into new facilities.
Coe most recently was general manager for the SMS Mill Services operation located within the ArcelorMittal Burns Harbor, Ind., complex.
Prior positions for Coe include senior division manager with Beta Steel Corp., manager of primary operations with Sterling Steel Co., an operations management position with Inland Steel and vice president of scrap operations for Birmingham Steel Corp.
