United Kingdom-based Smithers has published a market report titled “The Future of Specialty Papers in North and South America to 2025.” Smithers says the report offers in-depth information on the specialty papers market, which can include papers used in niche packaging applications, as cigarettes or tea bags, as currency or in decorative applications, among other uses.
“This dedicated study of specialty papers in North and South America finds these two regions consumed a total of 5.88 million metric tons in 2019,” states Smithers. “Market demand will drop as a result of COVID-19 in 2020, to 5.71 million metric tons, before returning to positive growth (1.4 percent compound annual growth rate, or CAGR) and reaching 6.13 million metric tons in 2025."
The report goes into detail to review and forecast how several of the specialty paper subsectors are faring, says Smithers, including an “analysis of key market drivers and trends in the specialty paper market to 2025.”
