The awards honor women leaders who run fast-growth businesses, mentor or actively support other women or girls involved in entrepreneurship and are active in their communities. Awards are presented in five annual revenue categories: more than $25 million, more than $10 million and up to $25 million, more than $5 million and up to $10 million; more than $1 million and up to $5 million; and up to $1 million.

Daywitt started SLM in 1998 and regularly mentors women through the Women’s Business Forum.

“It is a thrill personally, and a tribute to the talents of everyone at SLM, for me to receive this Enterprising Women award,” says Daywitt, who was one of 14 women in North America leading businesses with annual revenues of more than $25 million to be recognized by the magazine. “SLM’s focus on delivering services of value, which make our customers more successful and better able to manage their businesses, is at the heart of our success.”

Monica Smiley, publisher and CEO of Enterprising Women magazine, says, “Our award winners are accomplished entrepreneurs who have earned the respect and admiration of their communities. Every winner is the president or CEO of a fast-growth company that has gone above and beyond to become a role model for other women in business.”
