Jonathan Donohue has joined SITA UK as head of its dry recycling division. Donohue will oversee the development of a dry recyclables trading department as part of the company’s recycling of plastics, fibers, glass, textiles and other recyclable materials.
SITA UK’s sales and marketing team will focus on developing new and existing markets for the recyclables, as well as investigating the sales potential of further refining processed materials.
“Having spent my career selling and marketing various polymer grades to a number of industries, SITA UK provides a great opportunity to identify and develop new applications for recovered products, ensuring that valuable resources are recycled appropriately and as often as is possible,” Donohue says.
Donohue was formerly a commercial manager for Biffa Polymers. Prior to Biffa, Donohue worked for Total Petrochemicals for 11 years.
