Sims Recycling Solutions (SRS) says it has been awarded the CAS-S (CESG Assured Service Sanitisation) Industry Certification Standard in the United Kingdom.
The newly issued standard has been updated to reflect the latest Government Classification Scheme for secure sanitization of electronic data, says SRS. The certification “confirms Sims Recycling Solutions’ ability to offer the highest levels of secure data sanitization to our clients,” the company states in a news release.
CAS assessment is a certification system for commercial sanitization services to demonstrate compliance with and ability to deliver services in accordance with the guidelines set out by the UK government.
This certification pertains to both mobile and fixed-location data sanitization services, which include shredding and degaussing, says the company.
“Our clients, whether public or private sector organizations, can rest assured that their equipment and valuable data will be handled to the highest possible standards,” says Anand Narasimhan, SRS director of Europe and India. “CAS-S accreditation demonstrates our commitment to ongoing excellence in delivering leading IT asset disposition (ITAD) services,” he adds.
