Sierra Introduces Model 80 2C HD Automatic Baler

Baler combines productivity performance of a baler with the density of a briquetting press.

Italy-based Sierra Europe Srl has introduced the model 80 2C HD automatic baler, which is designed to process turnings, iron tire wire and all small size ferrous and nonferrous scrap metal. The equipment combines the productivity performance of a baler and the bale density production of a briquetting press.

The company says the automatic baler 80 2C HD is the first baler on the market that is able to process aluminum and iron turnings producing bales with 20-by-20-by-variable centimeters (8 inch by 8 inch by variable) dimensions and 25 kilograms (50 pounds) in 45 seconds. All components of the machine can work in a scrap yard. The hopper is designed to be fed by conveyor or crane to have a continued cycle.

The automatic baler 80 2C HD by Sierra is a two-compression baler designed to produce high density bales. Material enters in the hopper with a continued feeding system managed by a conveyor. At the top of the hopper, two lines of combs share the material while it falls down in the compaction box to produce equal bales with well-proportioned density. The Hardox 400 wear box liners are replaceable and have a waved design to process small size material. Both cylinders have a 140 metric tons bale/shear force.
