ASR Partnership Crosses the Ocean

SiCon, Green EnviroTech and Plas2Fuel announce cooperation for European market.

SiCon GmbH, a Germany-based supplier of auto shredder residue (ASR) processing plants, has announced an expansion of its existing partnership with United States-based companies Green EnviroTech Corp. and Plas2Fuel Corp.

The three partners have been working together on American projects involving the mechanical recycling of plastics found within ASR and the conversion of other plastic portions of the ASR stream into a high-grade synthetic crude oil. “The concept offers shredder operators additional economic possibilities to recover shredder residue,” say the companies.

In a news release, the three companies have announced that they now also will work together on applicable European projects.

Plas2Fuel Corp., Tigard, Ore., is a privately held alternative energy company that converts mixed plastic scrap into synthetic crude oil and other petrochemical products. Plas2Fuel operates an industrial demonstration plant in Portland, Ore.

Green EnviroTech Corp, Fond du Lac, Wis., is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Wolfe Creek Mining Inc. Green EnviroTech describes itself as “a recovery, cleaning, and plastics recycling company [that] constructs large-scale plastic recycling operations near automotive shredder locations in the U.S. to produce recycled commercial grade plastics ready to be re-introduced into commerce.” The company’s process incorporates CO2 extraction technology to produce polyolefins as well as ABS/PS in qualities “similar to virgin plastics.”

“We are pleased to build upon our successful partnership with SiCon and Pas2Fuel,” says Gary De Laurentiis, CEO of Green EnviroTech. “The European market will benefit from our combination of unique technology, best-in-class systems and collective experience in the recycling industry.”
