U.K.-based Shredall SDS Group, a large confidential waste shredding and paper recycling company, has announced plans to open a new depot in Bellshill, Scotland. According to a news release reported by U.K.-based Scottish Business News, the new site will be officially opened on Nov. 14.
Shredall SDS Group has been consistently expanding its operations in Scotland since its first depot opened in 2007. The new 17,000-square-foot depot in Bellshill will serve as Shredall SDS Group’s regional hub and will help it extend the reach of its shredding, recycling and scanning services to a growing client base in Scotland, Scottish Business News reports in a news release. The site will also support the organization’s environmental pledge by growing its paper cup recycling service.
Additionally, the depot will allow the group to provide textile, uniform, media and hard-drive shredding both on and off site, Scottish Business News reports. The company plans to hire four people to operate machinery and three office personnel with goals of doubling that staff size in January.
Nick Williams, managing director at Shredall SDS Group, told Scottish Business News that the company has invested in a new cutting-edge Vecoplan shredder, a Kadant Paal Pacomat baler and new IT equipment to support sales and logistics at the new Bellshill site.
