Shred-Tech Add West Coast Service Center

Shred-Tech, the Cambridge, Ontario-based manufacturer of information destruction and recycling systems, has announced the opening of its West Coast service center in Ontario, Calif.

The company is extending its reach to better service its customers in the Southwest, which amounts to more than 20 percent of its total U.S. customer base.

Shred-Tech has leased a 10,500-square-foot facility at 1100 S. Grove Ave. in Ontario and has hired five local professionals, with plans to hire several more technicians throughout the next two years.

“Ontario’s business development resources and thriving community make it an ideal location to extend our reach as more business opportunities emerge for our customers,” Rob Glass, CEO of Shred-Tech, says. “The area’s location and reputation as a high-growth community make it a perfect setting for our service center. We look forward to becoming an active part of this community.”

Shred-Tech will host a grand-opening celebration for area customers Thursday, Sept. 11, from 3 to 7 p.m. The company will provide refreshments, and attendees will have a chance to enter a raffle for free preventative maintenance services.

The company manufactures nearly 200 mobile shredder trucks per year and by the end of 2008 will reportedly have nearly 2,000 trucks on the road in North America.
