The Shelbyville (Indiana) News reports the Shelby County Recycling District removed the Pleasant View recycling collection bin Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016, following multiple trash disposal violations.
In response, an anonymous resident posted a cardboard sign at the site expressing his or her anger at the removal of the bin.
“THANKS A LOT YOU WORTHLESS LAZY SCUM,” the sign reads. “GET A JOB AND PAY TO HAVE YOUR TRASH PICKED UP. NOW NO ONE CAN RECYCLE HERE.”
Illegal dumping has been an ongoing problem for the county’s recycling bins and along county roads, the article says. On July 17, the newspaper reported on a man dumping at the bins on Michigan Road, along with a photo. As a result, the man was identified and fined $364.
