Shear Power Corp., a Strathroy, Ontario-based hydraulic attachments provider, says it is proud of what it has achieved in 10 years and has made plans for continued growth in its next 10-year period.

The firm, established in 2014, started with two employees but now employs 13 people, according to Shear Power Partner and Vice President Greg Morley.

Morley, who leads the company, initially started as a licensed heavy equipment technician, so he can provide thorough product knowledge from a technical and operational perspective, according to the company.

During its first 10 years, Shear Power grew from renting approximately 3,000 square feet of shop space to now working from its own 10,000 square-foot facility, which Cayen calls specifically fit to serve customers in its targeted industry sectors.

Of those sectors, Shear Power specializes in providing attachments to the metal recycling, demolition, construction, forestry and mining industries. The firm has customers throughout North America.

Morley also describes Shear Power as a “devoted dealer for premium attachments,” including Fortress shears, OilQuick couplers, Xcentric rippers/crushers, OSA attachments, Rockwheel concrete processors, Shearforce hammers, Shearex shears and more.”

Customization is another Shear Power priority. “We build custom high-reach demolition excavators and retrofit our client’s excavators into demolition specification, high-reach units," he says.

As two examples, Morley says Shear Power developed and marketed The Extractor deep excavation arm to meet customer needs and that the dealership sells excavator shear packages “plumbed to perfection.”

In addition to carrying products, each of which is available for rent or sale, Shear Power says it operates three service trucks offering onsite service, support and installations for its product lines.

“We provide a very strong focus on customer and product support to keep them productive, profitable and returning to us for years to come,” Morley says. “We pride ourselves in offering unparalleled service and support within the industries.”

The firm credits its success thus far to its customers, suppliers, employees and their families, adding, “Our growth over the last 10 years is a strong indication of the skills, experience, determination and commitment that our entire team possesses.”
