Severstal North America, headquartered in Dearborn, Mich., has reached a tentative agreement with the United Auto Workers Local 600 on a new five-year labor pact.
The agreement covers about 1,100 active hourly production and maintenance employees at Severstal NA’s Dearborn facility. The ratification of the agreement is expected to be completed shortly.
In a news release, Sergei Kuznetsov, Severstal NA CEO, says, “We are pleased to have reached a new five-year labor agreement that serves the needs of our people and provides a solid base for company’s future development. The new agreement is an important milestone in our relationship with the UAW that was forged over the years and that helps us work toward common goals of our company and our employees.”
