The Southeast Recycling Development Council (SERDC) has selected the Grand Hotel Marriott Resort in Point Clear, Ala., as the meeting place for its 2008 Recycling Summit.
State organizations from Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi are helping to coordinate the Nov. 12-14 event, which includes workshops, a legislative roundtable, networking events and a golf tournament.
Workshops will focus on expanding plastics recycling programs and increasing recycling program participation, while sessions cover construction and demolition recycling, electronics recycling and other topics.
A tour led by the Alabama Recycling Coalition will include a look at three facilities in and around Mobile, Ala.
