The Southeast Recycling Development Council (SERDC) is hosting a symposium called Recycling & the Economy in Memphis, Tenn., Oct. 26-27.
The event will focus on “strengthening local manufacturing” and “tracking regional job development,” according to SERDC.
In addition to SERDC, other sponsors include the United States EPA, the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation and the Tennessee Recycling Coalition.
Session topics include “Supply and Demand: Recycling’s Role in Corporate Sustainability Goals,” “Impacting the Future: State Policies that Fuel Job Growth,” and “Across the Supply Chain: Finding Solutions for Increased Collection.”
