SERDC Draws Recyclers to Nashville

Regional event attracts 275 attendees, includes awards ceremony.

Some 275 attendees visited more than 60 exhibitors and had several workshops to choose from at the February meeting of the Southeast Recycling Development Council (SERDC).

 

The event took place Feb. 7-9 at the Opryland Radisson in Nashville, Tenn.

 

Among the topics addressed by the conference’s workshops and exhibitors were market trends, Green Building, storm debris management, military programs and recycling-related economic impact studies.

 

An awards program was also organized, with awards handed out to Steve Thompson of the Curbside Value Partnership and Mickey Mills of Bluegrass Regional Recycling Corp.

 

The SERDC consists of recycling industry participants and advocates in a 10-state region that includes Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
