Material handling equipment maker Sennebogen Maschinenfabrik GmbH says one of its new generation rubber-tired 830 G models has been on the job at a TSR Czech Republic s.r.o. location.
According to Sennebogen, TSR had the opportunity to test the machine extensively at its site in Pilsen, Czech Republic. TSR Recycling, like Sennebogen, is based in neighboring Germany.
TSR Czech Republic, with more than 400 employees, has been operating in the metals recycling sector since 1991. When testing the machine, TSR worked with both Sennebogen and its Czech Republic-based dealer Merimex.
The 830 G in Pilsen has been used to feed a scrap shear and baler and to load trucks and rail cars.
“The entire work process takes place outdoors, which means that the [handler] has to operate in a wide range of weather conditions,” the company says.
Sennebogen says robust design parameters and an attached orange peel grapple have helped TSR handle both light and heavy loads, even when needing to undertake frequent position changes and exercise precise control of the machine.
One highlight of the 830 G is its Maxcab, designed to be ergonomic and user-friendly for the operator.
“The spacious cab gives the driver an optimal view of the work area, thanks to the large glass surfaces and elevated position,” Sennebogen says.
The cab features intuitive controls and an ergonomically designed workstation designed to minimize operator fatigue even during eight-to-12-hour workdays, according to Sennebogen.
The company also credits a comfortable operator’s seat, automatic climate controls and clearly arranged function controls as contributing to productivity.
Easy controls, plenty of space and a user-friendly environment are how Pilsen 830 G operator Zdeněk Duchek describes his experience with the machine.
The new model also features Sennebogen’s SENcon control system, which is accessed with a 10-inch touch display designed to provide precise and simple operation.
“The well-thought-out arrangement of functions and the intuitive interface reduce training times and make the machine quickly accessible even for new drivers,” Sennebogen says.
The material handler maker says the operator of the 830 G’s ability to monitor fuel consumption in real time ensures additional efficiency, calling that “a particularly important advantage” in energy-intensive operations such as at scrap yards.
“The low fuel consumption and good availability of spare parts convinced us—that’s why we decided to purchase the machine,” says Miloslav Schlossbauer, managing director of TSR Pilsen.
Schlossbauer says that “fuel consumption and availability of spare parts [were] decisive purchasing criteria for us.”
In addition to comfort and efficiency, the 830 G also impressed the Czech recyclers with its durability and easy maintenance, according to Sennebogen.
Compared with previous models or other machines on the market, the handler scored highly with its well-thought-out design that allows refueling from the ground and quick access to maintenance points, says Sennebogen.
“The comprehensive service is another advantage that was particularly emphasized by TSR,” the equipment maker adds.
