Sennebogen LLC, the North American subsidiary of Straubing, Germany-based equipment supplier Sennebogen, recently opened its new Erich Sennebogen Museum, located in Straubing and named in honor of the company's founder. Sennebogen LLC is based in Stanley, North Carolina.
At the museum, eight historic machines, from the first manure loader to a current-model hydraulic excavator, chronicle the development of Sennebogen products over six decades. Displays include large-scale images and documents showcasing the development of the company and the personality of the man who built it, according to Sennebogen LLC.
The pyramid-shaped building with its glass dome is based on Erich Sennebogen’s own initial drafts. A mix of history and state-of-the-art technology, the facility incorporates numerous innovations for sustainable, energy-efficient construction.
In addition to the historical and cultural goals of the Erich Sennebogen Museum, the 7,000-square-foot facility also is designed to host corporate events and conferences for up to 350 people.
