IFAT, which bills itself as “the world‘s leading trade fair for water, sewage, waste and raw materials management,” will include a recycled vehicle recycling drainage and dismantling demonstration the May 2018 event. IFAT is May 14-18 at Trade Show Centre Munich in Germany.
The demonstration is being hosted and organized by the Germany-based BDSV ferrous scrap recycling association and Austria-based SEDA Umwelttechnik GmbH.
SEDA and BDSV are describing it as “one of the biggest live demonstration events of a whole car-recycling process at a trade show.” SEDA indicates the process being demonstrated “places the highest emphasis on environmental protection and work safety.”
The demonstrations will be held daily at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30, 2:30 and 4:30 p.m. Separate stations have been designed to end-of-life vehicle (ELV) storage, disassembly (including fluids, tires and the battery), scrapping, software tracking and parts sales.
Equipment used includes SEDA’s “All-in-One Solution” that the company states includes a tilting lift designed to assist ergonomic conditions for ELV workers.
