Scrap Tires Focus of Summit

The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries Inc. (ISRI) will be hosting its Tire Recycling Business Summit Sept. 11-13 at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Rosemont, Ill.

The event will feature several educational sessions and panel discussions as well as a meeting of ISRI’s Scrap Tire Processors Chapter and several networking opportunities.

On Monday afternoon, ISRI members will gather for a chapter meeting followed by a dinner at the Hyatt property.

Topics covered during Tuesday’s sessions include trends in the scrap tire market, workers’ compensation insurance, safety, fire prevention and worker immigration status.

Wednesday’s programming includes updates on consuming markets and “Design for Recycling” from a tire industry perspective, as well as addresses from ISRI chair Frank Cozzi and ISRI Scrap Tire Processors Chapter president Troy Hess of Mahantango Enterprises Inc., Liverpool, Pa.
