Two consulting firms have combined to issue a comprehensive report on scrap paper markets for the remainder of this decade.
Moore & Associates, Atlanta, and EU Consulting, Starnberg, Germany, are offering a 300+-page report called “Globalising Recovered Fibre Markets.” The report offers statistics from the past three years as well as forecasts for scrap paper consumption, generation and pricing through 2010.
The report is an updated version of earlier editions, which correctly predicted the increasing globalization of the scrap paper industry.
The current edition singles out the prominence of China’s role in this decade’s market, with its subtitle being, “All Eyes on China—but Where to Find Fibre for all Expansions?”
According to the report’s lead authors, William P. Moore and Esko Uutela, those subscribing to the report (which has been updated every two years since 2000) can find information in it to help make decisions in several scenarios:
-
Planning local and international sourcing and purchasing strategies for scrap paper
-
Assessing the feasibility of new investment projects
-
Identifying business opportunities in the recycling of various paper grades.
Those wishing to order the report or seeking more information on it can visit the project’s Web site at www.globalrecyclefiber.com.
Report co-author William Moore will also be moderating sessions and exhibiting at a booth along with co-workers at the Paper Recycling Conference & Trade Show in Atlanta, June 27-29.
