Scrap Metal Services LLC (SMS), Burnham, Ill., has added Rick West and Shannon Jordan to the staff of its SMS Mill Services LLC subsidiary. West has been hired as vice president, Business Development; Jordan has been named an operations manager. SMS specializes in scrap processing handling services, intermodal/ railcar equipment dismantling and outsourced steel mill services. The company handles both ferrous and nonferrous metals generated from industrial, demolition and obsolete scrap generators.
Rick West, with more than 30 years of experience in the steel, scrap and mill services industries, was named vice president of business development for SMS Mill Services LLC. He has held a number of operating management positions with Tube City IMS, PSC Metals and the Edward C. Levy Co.
Shannon Jordan, who was named operations manager of SMS Mill Services LLC, has more than 14 years of experience in steel mill support services and aggregate processing. Prior to SMS Mill Services, Jordan was plant manager for the Carb-Rite Co. Jordan also held various management positions with Edw. C Levy Co.
