Scrap Metal Directory Available on CD Rom

Annual directory redesigned for improved functionality.

The 2003 edition of the North American Scrap Metals Directory is now available in a CD Rom format. This is the first year the directory has been converted into this format.

The CD Rom design allows a significant amount more flexibility, while providing an updated version of the annual directory. A total of more than 8,300 companies and listings are included in the CD Rom format.

The directory has been created in an Access Database, which allows for increased search capabilities. With this format, users are able to sort companies by name, address, contact names, city, states, and zip codes, but also types o f material handled, type of operation, and even if the company is serviced directly by railroad.

While the setup is consistent with the printed version of the Scrap Metals Directory, the CD Rom version continues with continuous updates of companies, listings, and data – all designed to provide the most up-to-date information for the person looking for more information.

While the CD Rom is excellent for sorting and searching information, the Access database is also effective for putting together mailing/faxing lists. If you are searching for a targeted audience, this version of the directory is highly effective.

Finally, the directory has been put together in an easy-to-use format. You do not have to be highly skilled in computer programs to use the program.

The cost of the directory is $385, plus $5 shipping and handling charges. For more information on the directory please contact Dan Sandoval at dsandoval@recyclingtoday.com. To order a copy of the directory contact Megan Erickson at (216) 961-4130.
