Scott Greenberg has joined the C&Y Global Inc. team as senior trader.
C&Y Global, headquartered in Houston, is a scrap metal exporter that owns a yard in Thailand and operates seven additional associated locations in the U.S.
Greenberg is a 35-year veteran in the scrap metal business with roots in the copper/brass/precious metal foundry business. He spent 11 years working for his family’s business, Franklin Smelting, which closed in 1997.
He has worked as a buyer, seller, processor and consumer of all types of scrap metal. Spending almost 15 years specializing in electric motor scrap at Global Recycling in Charlotte, North Carolina, four years with the former brass and bronze ingot maker Colonial Metals in Pennsylvania and five years as a senior trader at Greenland America, buying nonferrous metals.
