OHL Engineering GmbH PET Recycling Technologies, a subsidiary of Schoeller Holding GmbH, based in Munich, has acquired Mann + Hummel ProTec GmbH, which is based in Bensheim, Germany.
According to a Schoeller Group news release, the purchase of the business unit from the Mann + Hummel parent company expands Schoeller’s business in the plastics industries, including strengthening its plastics recycling business. Mann + Hummel ProTec will operate under the Somos and OHL ProTec brand name.
Arnold Jahn, CEO of Schoeller Plast Industries, and Alfred Kimpel, managing director of ProTec, will share the title of managing director of the new company.
"With the new company, we will create a strategic extension of our existing business with the goal of growing our European and international markets with high-quality components and systems made in Germany,” says Christian Uhlik, managing directors of Schoeller Holding.
Schoeller Plast Industries operates globally and is involved with reusable and returnable packaging systems, beverage bottles and caps for the processing and recycling of plastics. OHL Engineering develops and markets turnkey PET bottle-to-bottle recycling plants.
