The city is interested in further use of RAP in overlay projects as well as crushed and recycled asphalt and concrete for road base. Additionally, working with Granite Construction Co. and others in the construction industry, the city is continuing to review the benefits of asphalt rubber, asphalt shingles, pervious concrete and asphalt and permeable landscape products.
The city is interested in using sustainable road building practices as part of its Green Vision, a strategy that addresses how environmental responsibility makes financial sense and stimulates economic opportunities.
