Lefort USA, St. Louis, has delivered its first 1,000-ton mobile logger/shear in the U.S. market to a Samuels Recycling Janesville, Wis., scrap facility.
The 1,000-ton mobile model comes with its own diesel and hydraulic drive package and can be operated by remote control from the crane by a single operator who can control feeding, shearing and removal of material.
According to a Lefort news release, the mobile piece of equipment allows processors to avoid expensive installation and foundation costs while still being able to process heavier scrap material than can run in many stationary machines.
