Woodridge, Illinois-based Samuel Packaging Systems Group, a division of Samuel, Son & Co. Ltd., has released its Gen2 PET Bale Tie System.
According to a news release from Samuel Packaging Systems Group, the Gen2 is an update on the company’s existing Samuel PET Bale Tie System. The company designed the new system based on feedback from customers and needs in a changing recycling marketplace. Samuel says the new system focuses on safety, reliability and cost savings.
The new system’s polyester strapping offers added safety over wire along with improved strength and seal performance while providing a consumable material produced with recycled polyester content manufactured at Samuel’s facility in Fort Mill, South Carolina. Samuel reports that the Gen2 is a plug-and-play bale tie system, adaptable with any two-ram baler. The all-electric system eliminates the need for hydraulic fluids, reducing the chance for maintenance issues.
The Gen2 system serves a variety of recycling and production segments, including nonferrous, single-stream recycling, waste to energy, fiber and more. Samuel reports that it provides nationwide maintenance support for the new Gen2 system, including training, parts and service, technical phone support, preventive maintenance programs, in-house head-rebuilding program and loaner head program.
