SAMR Hosts Electronics Recycling Panel, Technology Tour

Supreme Asset Managment & Recovery hosts Oct. 7 meteing of the New Jersey Technology Council.

A panel of technology experts discuss electronics recycling during an Oct. 7, 2008, meeting of the New Jersey Technology Council (NJTC) hosted by SAMR (Supreme Asset Management & Recovery), Lakewood, N.J., from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at SAMR’s facilities, 1950 Rutgers University Blvd., in the Lakewood Industrial Park. 

SAMR representatives will also conduct tours of the company's electronics recycling and remarketing facility at 3:45 and at 5:15 p.m. 

The panel discussion titled “E-waste Recycling” will cover the implications of the new electronics recycling laws taking effect in New Jersey in 2009, including the encouragement of the design of new electronic  devices and components that are more environmentally friendly as well as the environmental hazards that result from improper management of end-of-life electronics.

James Andrews, a partner in the Cherry Hill law firm of Blank, Rome LLP and an attorney who specializes in environmental law, will moderate the panel.

The entrance fee, which includes a wine and cheese reception, is $25 for NJTC members, Lakewood Chamber members and members of MODC (the Monmouth-Ocean Development Council). The fee for non-members is $60.
