Science Applications International Corp. announced that its subsidiary, SAIC Canada, has acquired Exploranium G.S. Ltd., based in Toronto, Canada. Exploranium will continue to operate in Mississauga, Ont., and will be managed as a division of SAIC's Transportation and Security Technology Group.
Exploranium is one of the leading international companies in the design, manufacture and sales of low level radiation detection and measurement systems. The company’s service industries include customs, security, military, first responders, emergency response, nuclear, environmental, steel and scrap metal, geophysical, waste management and medical. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
SAIC's Security Systems Screening Group designs and manufactures the VACIS non- intrusive inspection system.
