Safety-Kleen, Palatine, Ill., is offering its industrial client base the ability to collect computer and electronic scrap for recycling.
According to the company, “The Safety-Kleen Computer and Electronic Equipment Recycling Service will provide collection, transportation, assistance with paperwork and recycling of electronics, one of the fastest-growing waste streams in North America.”
Safety-Kleen will ship the obsolete equipment it collects to existing electronics recycling facilities, according to one source within the electronics recycling industry.
Best known for its waste liquids and solvents disposal and recycling services, Safety Kleen is adding the electronic scrap collection service as part of its “We Care” integrated program that allows companies to advertise their adherence to the proper disposal or recycling of hazardous materials and substances.
Safety-Kleen will accept desktop, laptop and mainframe computers for recycling, as well as keyboards, monitors, disk drives, telephone systems, copiers, printers and fax machines.Latest from Recycling Today
