New from, Sunderland, England-based Safetech Systems is the Guardian system, designed to provide automatic personnel protection for employees working near conveyor systems and other potentially hazardous machinery such as balers and shredders. The Guardian system uses recent developments in intelligent technology to give advanced performance even in difficult environments, the company says.
According to Safetech, the Guardian system meets current legal requirements and offers sophisticated set-up and diagnostics facilities. One Guardian system is capable of offering protection for several conveyors, which means dramatic cost savings for customers, according to Safetech.
“We’ve been in this business since 1986,” says Robert Smith, managing director, “and in that time, we’ve continually reviewed our systems to take advantage of current improvements in hi-tech electronics. Guardian is the latest Safetech product, and already it’s proving very popular with customers. We’ve completed several installations already and we’re delighted with its performance.”
