SA Recycling has named Elinor Lester, a six-year employee of the California-based company, port manager for its Terminal Island, Calif., location. In that capacity, she will be responsible for administrative and operational duties, overseeing budgets, cutting costs while continuing SA Recycling’s commitment to community outreach. She also will be work with the operations manager to guarantee the production of high quality material, the safe and efficient loading of vessels and containers, and maintaining the company’s high environmental standards while ensuring the safety of the 150 employees under her supervision.
“Ms. Lester is a tremendous asset to our company,” says SA Recycling Vice President Cristi Rossi. “Having been groomed in the culture of SA Recycling, she has an intimate understanding of the company’s culture and inner workings and a thorough grasp of all matters relating to our operations at the port.”
Adds Lester, “SA Recycling has a sterling reputation for collecting and recycling scrap, being environmentally friendly, taking care of its employees and serving the communities in which they operate. I feel privileged to continue my service to them in this new capacity.”
SA Recycling has more than 40 recycling facilities throughout California, Arizona and Nevada.
