According to latest reports in the industry, Venezuela has brought export licensing procedures in order to control the ferrous scrap exports from the country. It is stated that, despite the current worldwide shortage of the material, no scrap shortage has been reported for Venezuela so far, as for the weaker economic situation in the country slowed down, causing the mills run on lower capacities already.
