Russian metallurgy information group Rusmet has announced that Moscow will serve as the host city for its Sixth Annual International Forum for the scrap industry, to take place Feb. 25-26, 2010.
According to publicity information from Rusmet, topics will include:
• World trends in the scrap trade;
• Prices as a factor in industry development;
• The scrap market from consumer and producer perspectives’
• Russian scrap in foreign markets; and
• Scrap collection in Russia: quantities and problems.
Rusmet says the event, to be held at the Radisson SAS Slavyanskaya in Moscow, is designed to offer “fresh and in-depth analysis of what is going on in the supplier market.”
The group also says the late February timing “has been specially selected to embrace the most critical period for signing contracts for CIS scrap supplies, including export contracts.”
