Rush Auto Recyclers Named Small Business of the Year

Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce recognizes area auto recycler.

The Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce has selected Rush Auto Recyclers of Phoenix, owned by Dan and Janet Rush, as the "2005 Small Business of the Year" at the Chamber's 18th Annual Small Business Awards Luncheon.

Rush Auto Recyclers operates seven facilities in Maricopa County, including Just Truck & Van, Chi-Town Auto Wrecking, East Valley Auto Recyclers, Pull A Part, Da Tire Shop, We Buy Scrap and ACT Towing.  The company employs 94 employees, many of which have worked with the organization for five or more years.

"It is such an honor to be recognized among such an amazing group of businesses," Dan Rush says. "This award will bring positive attention and further substantiate our industry as a reliable alternative to purchasing auto parts."

Rush Auto Recyclers says it prides itself on its customer service. The company provides a standard 101-day warranty, extended warranties and an extensive inventory.  The company uses the latest technology, has developed and trained a buying team to purchase inventory, offers reimbursement for continued training and education to their employees and regularly donates to local charities.

Now in its 18th year, the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce honors the successes and sacrifices of local small businesses with its annual Small Business Awards Luncheon. A group of 10 finalists, representative of the Valley's diverse and highly successful pool of small businesses with 100 or fewer employees, are chosen from hundreds of nominations.  These finalists are recognized for their efforts in four categories: Innovation, Community Involvement, Response to Adversity and Small Business of the Year. One recipient is chosen in each of the four award categories by a panel of previous award winners and other corporate representatives.
