Round2 Inc., Austin, Texas, has announced the promotion of Chris Reid. As the new vice president of operations, Reid will be in charge of replicating Round2’s operator model in a new 200,000-square-foot redistribution center (RDC) in the Southeast United States and in additional facilities in Nevada and California in early 2012.
According to the company, Reid has spent 15 months organizing the relocation of two RDCs in Texas, opening a new facility in Ohio, overseeing the building of a new 496,000-square-foot building designed to combine IT asset disposition (ITAD), electronics recycling, CRT (cathode ray tube) recycling and certified data destruction.
Randy Weiss, Round2 president and CEO, says. “Chris’ strategic vision and tactical plans have increased processing velocity 136 percent over the past 15 months. His focus drives our business to the next level and his leadership-style represents the best in Round2 culture.”
